About Me

About Me

Helping neurodivergent people thrive — with coaching that’s practical, personal, and rooted in lived experience

I’m Alexa Smith — a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation and a PhD in Developmental Biology from University College London (UCL). I bring over 30 years of experience in leadership across academia, nonprofits, and the pharmaceutical sector.

But what drives me most is helping people — especially those who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, or dyslexia — find clarity, confidence, and their own version of success in a world that isn’t always designed with them in mind.

My Coaching Style

Systemic, reflective, and grounded in your reality

My coaching is collaborative, warm, and rooted in deep listening. I trained as a transformational coach, with a person-centred approach, and I bring together:

  • Big-picture thinking and practical tools
  • Analytical problem-solving and creative strategy
  • Empathy, humour, and honesty

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. Instead, I create a reflective, empowering space where you can think differently, feel differently — and take meaningful, sustainable action.

Why Neurodiversity-Informed Coaching Matters

As a neurodiverse woman myself, I understand how it feels to work, lead, and live in environments that often overlook different ways of thinking. I know the quiet effort it takes to mask or adapt. I also know the strength and insight that comes with being wired differently.

Whether you identify as autistic, dyslexic, ADHD, AuDHD, or you’re still figuring it out — I meet you with respect, curiosity, and zero judgement. My role is to help you turn your challenges into workable strategies and your unique strengths into superpowers.

What You Can Expect

Working with me is a true partnership. I’ll:

  • Ask thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions
  • Listen without judgement
  • Offer grounded, honest feedback
  • Share tools you can apply straight away in real life

You’ll leave our sessions with a clearer mind, a stronger sense of self, and practical steps that feel aligned and doable — whether you’re navigating leadership, career change, overwhelm, or identity.

Ready to Explore Coaching?

Whether you’re an ADHD professional, an autistic leader, a dyslexic entrepreneur, or simply someone who thinks differently and wants support — I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
